I'm an artist who lives in Tucson, Arizona. Twenty some odd years ago, I went to a private art school. There, I studied drawing and painting, with the idea of doing illustration for a living. Unfortunately, when I decided that I wanted to something I loved for a living, the magic disappeared. As a result, I gave it up.
Now, twenty plus years later, having made my career elsewhere, I've found my way again. This is my journey to rediscover art.
Some have described me as worldly; I enjoy international cuisine, fine wine, exotic music, and world travel. All that would be meaningless, however, if I could not put it on canvas. I guess then that I am a worldly painter. I paint worldly things.
Painting time is a peaceful time, a time of deep concentration. It is alone time. It is a time spent between me and the canvas. Each painting I do is like a journey to a city that I've never been to before. No matter how much I prepare, I do not know what it will be like until I get there.
